He also served for two years as Editorial Director of Digital Imaging Techniques magazine, where he wrote numerous articles and reviews on the topics of digital and fine-art photography, inkjet printing, and Photoshop techniques.

He has conducted seminars around the world at photo-related conferences, for professional photography organizations and at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. His photography has been widely exhibited in group and solo shows around the world, and his work has been included in many imaging and photography publications.

Andrew’s love of cats and dogs began at a very young age, and his photographs of canines and felines have played an important role in his career. His pet photography has been featured in numerous publications, including Animal Fair magazine, The Home News Tribune (Central New Jersey), and The AKC Gazette, the official publication of the American Kennel Club. Darlow has photographed a wide variety of people and their pets in both formal and informal situations, and his photo sessions have included custom prints on watercolor paper, photo paper and canvas using inkjet and photo printmaking material.

He also produced a line of cards as well as posters featuring his images of dogs and cats. Over the last 10 years, Darlow has photographed numerous dog shows, including the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. He has appeared on “The Doggie Chronicles,” a radio show and podcast about dogs, and his pet photography has appeared on the News 12 New Jersey Television program. Darlow has donated his photo and custom printing services over the years to a number of causes, including the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Women’s Venture Fund, The Seeing Eye (Guide Dog Training Institute), and the garden tour for Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (a no-kill shelter for dogs and cats).

Darlow is author of 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers (Cengage, 2008) and his pet photography has appeared in multiple AKC Gazette Westminster wrap-up issues (2002-2006), as well as the News12 New Jersey TV station (2006 Westminster Best of Show photos). Five of his images were selected for the AKC Gazette’s Day in the Life issue (May, 2005) and one of his photos of Eric Udler (President of Super Pet Expo) was the cover photo in NJ Pets Magazine (March, 2006).
